JAMES BURGESS
Pershing Rifles Lieutenant Colonel James Burgess was born in New Haven, CT and later moved to Greeleyville, SC while he was in Jr. High School. He is an honors graduate of C.E. Murray High School where he served as the Cadet Battalion Commander for the JROTC unit. P/R LTC Burgess is a member of Pershing Rifles Company Kilo-4.
After pledging to Company K-4 in spring 2006, he was selected as the company S-1, FIO and the 4th Regiment S-5 during the 2006/2007 term. During the 2007/2008 term he served on the 4th Regiment Staff as the Deputy Commander and the K-4 Company Commander. At NATCON 2008, LTC Burgess was awarded the Gold Achievement Medal.
