Lieutenant Colonel Elizabeth M. Cisne
Lieutenant Colonel Cisne is a basic-branch Adjutant General’s Corps Officer commissioned through the ROTC program at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Distinguished Military Graduate honors in 1989.
After completing her basic course, Lieutenant Colonel Cisne served as battalion adjutant with the 1190th Signal Battalion in Panama and later as TAC officer and instructor/writer to the Adjutant General and Finance Officer Basic Course programs at Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN. Following her advanced course in 1993, Lieutenant Colonel Cisne served in Germany as a personal manager with the 21st Theater Army Area Command and later commanded the 115th AG Company (Postal), deploying that company to Bosnia in support of deployed IFOR forces.
Lieutenant Colonel Cisne then entered the Foreign Area Officer training program, completing the Basic Chinese Mandarin course at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA, In-Country Training in Singapore and a Master of Arts degree in Asian Studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI.
In January 2001, Lieutenant Colonel Cisne transferred to the 377th Theater Support Command, USAR, as a personnel plans and operations officer. While serving with this command, she was deployed to Afghanistan and Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Prior to her current duties, Lieutenant Colonel Cisne was assigned as Commander, New Orleans Military Entrance Processing Station.
Lieutenant Colonel Cisne is also a graduate of the Command and General Staff College and holds additional masters degrees in Education and Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma.
Prior to her commissioning, Lieutenant Colonel Cisne served for three years on enlisted active Army duty in Germany as a signaleer and served for three years with the 415th Civil Affairs Company, USAR, Kalamazoo, MI.
Her awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (3 awards), the Army Commendation Medal (4 awards) and the Army Achievement Medal (5 awards). Her permanent unit awards are the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Meritorious Unit Commendation and the Army Superior Unit Award. She holds Airborne, Air Assault, Instructor and Master Fitness Trainer skills qualifications.
